One in two Nepali people live in substandard housing. We’re on a mission to change that.
This need is compounded by the 2015 earthquakes and 2017 flooding that together damaged approximately 900,000 homes, leaving them in need of repair or complete reconstruction. Habitat for Humanity Nepal is taking an owner-driven approach by working alongside those affected by disasters who are still living in temporary shelter, as they rebuild their homes using a disaster-resilient design.
In October 2020, Flower City Habitat for Humanity will be sending a team of 12 to Terai, Nepal to build permanent, disaster-resilient housing with marginalized communities in the Eastern Lowlands of Terai.
Did you know that the average cost of building a home in Nepal is only $5,000?
Your donation will help us build alongside Nepali families in need of a decent place to live. With an affordable, stable home, families have more access to food, medicine, education, and other essentials. Please donate today.
