Women Build 2022 - Our 18th house!
Women Build 2022 is here and we are building a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, new home at 195 Melville Street! Please read these instructions to participate:

Women Build teams are central to the Women Build program, it's how we raise money for a new Habitat home each year, and it's how we schedule most of the construction shifts on this house!

To participate in Women Build 2022, please follow the instructions below to create or join a team. Volunteering instructions will be sent to registered team members, giving them first opportunity at reserving construction days.

Join or start a team:

Returning teams: Scroll down to see if your team page has been created. If it is, click the "participate as an individual" button near the top right, then join your team (on the following page). If you don't see your team page yet, email your team leader and ask them to set it up.

New team leaders: Are you starting a new team this year? Simply click the "register your team" button to create your team page, then share it with your team members so that they can join.

New individuals: Don't have a team, but want to get started? SAWS2 is welcoming new team members! Click the "participate as an individual button", then join SAWS2!

Fundraising goals: Not sure about how big of a goal to set? We recommend starting with a goal of $200 as an individual (and a corresponding team goal of $200 per person on your team). This is an attainable goal for most people and many will beat their goal, adding to the enthusiasm and momentum!

People in our community, and all over the world, partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. We are a team of women who met while learning to run. Nearly 10 years later, we’ve covered many miles together, sharing in each other’s pains and challenges, but also our greatest goals and accomplishments. We consider ourselves a family and appreciate the enriched lives our special friendship has brought. As a caring group that enjoys supporting others who need help, we’d love to join Women Build on a house for another deserving Rochester family.

CHRISTA Sistas - Framing the Future

Lynsey Ross

CHRISTA Sistas, framing the future is about building community! We believe that the act of sharing becomes a very empowering practice that can turn into a source of motivation, inspiration, learning, and support for the people in the community. People (Women) who feel safe sharing what they know and are happy to involve others in the sharing process create values by creating opportunities for collective learning. This collaborative learning builds communities, and building communities forms a great movement. When people (women) come together, they get stronger, louder and more visible. CHRISTA Sistas stands with Women Build (Habitat for Humanity) in this simple action to engage in these impact-driven projects of transformation. Let’s go!

Team TSE

Dorothy Hanrahan

We are a group of women who became friends while working together at Torchia Structural Engineering & Design PC. We believe in empowering each other by encouraging each others toughness and strength. We construct strong relationships while designing multi million dollar buildings as a team. We have all always wanted to be a part of building a home for Habitat for Humanity so we can be a part of passing along the dream of home ownership.
