A Message From SAWS2

SAWS2 is an open team of women from all walks of life. We enjoy learning together as we build. We are proud to help raise the funds needed for the Women Build house, too! This is our 12th year as a Women Build team. Join us as we work to improve our community, one family and one home at a time!

In Support of Flower City Habitat for Humanity

People in our community, and all over the world, partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Women Build 2022 is here and we are building a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, new home at 195 Melville Street! Please read these instructions to participate:

Women Build teams are central to the Women Build program, it's how we raise money for a new Habitat home each year, and it's how we schedule most of the construction shifts on this house!

To participate in Women Build 2022, please follow the instructions below to create or join a team. Volunteering instructions will be sent to registered team members, giving them first opportunity at reserving construction days.

Join or start a team:

Returning teams: Scroll down to see if your team page has been created. If it is, click the "participate as an individual" button near the top right, then join your team (on the following page). If you don't see your team page yet, email your team leader and ask them to set it up.

New team leaders: Are you starting a new team this year? Simply click the "register your team" button to create your team page, then share it with your team members so that they can join.

New individuals: Don't have a team, but want to get started? SAWS2 is welcoming new team members! Click the "participate as an individual button", then join SAWS2!

Fundraising goals: Not sure about how big of a goal to set? We recommend starting with a goal of $200 as an individual (and a corresponding team goal of $200 per person on your team). This is an attainable goal for most people and many will beat their goal, adding to the enthusiasm and momentum!
